I did apply a light coating of Gibbs brand lubricant corrosion inhibitor/lubricant to the blade. I didn't try removing the corrosion. Vintage Made In The USA Stanley Handyman 26 10 Point Crosscut Hand Saw With wood en Handle - model Number 15-528, my opinion this saw appears that it was barely used because the writing on blade isn't worn off. It was stored in a non-climate controlled outdoor shed.

This saw does have some minor surface corrosion on the blade caused by way it was stored previous owner.
